Paediatric Specialist Dentist

Dr Caroline Chung is a Paediatric Specialist whose experience covers all aspects of paediatric dentistry. You can read more about her on our team page.

We often get asked: What is the difference between a general dentist and a paediatric specialist? The difference is that a Paediatric Specialist dentist has two to three years specialist training after dental university. This training solely focuses on treating infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health needs.

If your child is unwilling to cooperate, has extensive carries or is particularly timid, a paediatric specialist will be able to make your child feel more at ease and provide a positive treatment experience. For some children diagnosis of particular problems, extensive oral rehabilitation, dental management and subsequent treatment may involve an approach that is not be possible within the routine confines of a general dentist.

Dr Caroline Chung consults at our Chatswood location, and treatments can be performed in rooms or at a hospital under general anaesthetic. Advance booking required.
