Dr Eugene Foo graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours and later completed a Graduate Diploma in Clinical
Dentistry (Oral Implants) from the same university. Eugene has a particular interest in reconstructive dentistry and dental implants, and is a Fellow
by examination of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
Eugene has served on many committees including the ADA and is currently a member of the Planning Committee for the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry
(Oral Implants) and is a lecturer and examiner for the university course. Eugene is also the current NSW President of the Australasian Osseointegration
Society, Australia’s leading implant society.
Eugene joined Dr David Young and Associates in June 2010, having worked as a Senior Dental Officer at Westmead Hospital and in various other practices.
Prior to joining Dr David Young and Associates, Eugene consulted at The Dental Specialists for a period of 6 years, where he worked closely with registered
specialists in many disciplines, including Prosthodontists (reconstructive specialists), Endodontists (root canal specialists), Periodontists (gum
specialists) and Oral Surgeons. Dr Foo continues to consult and provide dental implant services at various practices within the Sydney region.
Eugene is strongly focused on continued education and has attended many courses, far exceeding current continuing professional development requirements
as required by AHPRA. He attends education both within Australia and abroad, such as the University of Bern (Switzerland). He has also recently completed
accreditation to provide Invisalign orthodontic treatment.
Eugene is happily married and enjoys spending time with his young sons – Ryan (aged 4) and Nathan (18 months) – and skiing with his wife, Benita.
Eugene’s demeanor is calm and easygoing and he manages to put his patients at ease immediately.
